Former Berenberg compliance officer gives insights into bank’s shady clients, while CEO refuses to stand in front of committee

For GUE/NGL MEP Fabio De Masi Berenberg CEO Hans-Walter Peters’ no-show in front of the PANA inquiry committee is a guilty plea. The  banker also refused to appear in front of the committee in his role as the President of the Association of German Banks, sending its General Manager Michael Kemmer instead. Kemmer himself used to be on the management board of Bayern LB at a time when the bank also had ties with the offshore world.
