PANA Response to Schulz Access to Documents 12 October

After the decision of the European Parliament’s bureau (where the EP President Martin Schulz and the different vice-presidents sit) to not amend the Parliament’s rules in a way that would also allow document access during special and inquiry committees for assistants of MEPs, the PANA committee replied to Schulz and acknowledged this decision.

We think however that there are strong legal arguments for the European Parliament to take a different approach and not constrain its own rights.
